You will be welcomed and taken to Karibu Heritage House as soon as you arrive at the airport in Kilimanjaro or Arusha. A fascinating option for an Arusha city tour, depending on your time, is to see the famous art gallery (Cultural Heritage), the local market, the lovely Maasai Market.

We will proceed on a drive from Arusha to Arusha National Park Gate, where a brief registration will take place. A committed armed ranger will accompany us on our stroll. We will have the amazing chance to see a variety of exotic species along the trip, including antelopes, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and monkeys. On the hike, we might even see elephants. We'll end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Miriakamba Hut.

Despite being short, the hike from Miriakamba Hut to the saddle behind Little Meru is quite steep. We'll take our time as we follow the ridge, which provides stunning views of the majestic Ash Cone and the Meru Crater. A delicious lunch is waiting for you in Saddle Hut, and those who are up for the challenge can make the short ascent to Little Meru's summit (3,820m), which offers breathtaking views right before sunset. We're going to Saddle Hut for dinner and overnight.

We leave early at 12:30 a.m. and start a strenuous ascent to Rhino Point (3,800m) and then on to Cobra Point (4,350m). When we arrive at the peak (4,566m), we are welcomed by the magnificent sunrise and have the opportunity to see Kilimanjaro Peak peeking through the clouds. You reach the peak after a final, exhilarating ascent along a small ridgeline that separates the crater's sloping outside wall from its precipitous interior cliffs.

After enjoying the occasion and taking pictures to preserve the memories, you will start the journey back to Saddle Hut. You'll consider how wonderful the mountain scenery is and how successful it was to reach the summit.

You will have breakfast and a well-earned rest when you return to Saddle Hut. After that, you will continue your descent to Miriakamba, where you will have lunch before going on. In order to relieve your fatigue, we will drive you back from Miriakamba Hut to the hotel, where you may enjoy the forest wind and watch wildlife.

End of Tour

We'll arrive at Momella Gate by mid-afternoon, when you'll receive a summit certificate. After that, we'll drive you back to your Arusha hotel.
