After breakfast, start the day by making your way early into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most prolific animal habitats and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Approximately 260 square kilometers (100 square miles) in size, this natural wonder is the world's largest unfilled, inactive volcanic caldera. Numerous bird species, buffalo, lions, elephants, zebras, and endangered black rhinos are among the many animals that call the crater bottom home.

Explore the crater's varied ecosystems, which include freshwater lakes, acacia woods, and grasslands, during a daylong wildlife drive. Stop for lunch at a picturesque picnic area where you may admire the natural surroundings and possibly even observe hippos in the neighboring waterholes.

After an amazing day of seeing animals, spend the night in peace and quiet at Lion's Paw Ngorongoro Camp.

As an alternative, you could decide to have a leisurely cooked lunch at the lodge following the game drive.
