After a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be driven to your Arusha hotel, where you can rest and get ready for the climb. Depending on your schedule, you may have the chance to visit Arusha town and take in its lively atmosphere, markets, and cultural attractions. Later that evening, we will meet you for a pre-climb briefing and gear check.

Drive for about two hours after breakfast to the Machame Gate for paperwork and registration. Start your journey through the verdant rainforest and make your way gradually up to Machame Camp. Have fun on your first night of camping outside.

You leave the rainforest and enter the heath and moorland zones on today's hike. Reach Shira Camp (3,840 meters) by climbing steeply via the "Shira Plateau," a picturesque crest. Admire the magnificent vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding terrain.

Start the day by climbing to the Lava Tower (4,630 meters), where you will eat lunch and get used to the higher elevation. Climb through the stunning Barranco Valley, which is renowned for its sheer cliffs and alpine desert landscape, to reach Barranco Camp (3,950 meters).

Today's hike entails a strenuous yet thrilling scramble up the Barranco Wall. Cross the rugged terrain and climb to Karanga Camp (4,035 meters), which is tucked away beneath Kilimanjaro's southern ice fields. Get some rest and refuel for the last ascent.

Make a steady ascent across the arid alpine desert to reach your basecamp for the summit attempt, Barafu Camp (4,600 meters). Admire the breathtaking vistas of the top that towers over you. Get a good night's sleep before the midnight climb.

Start the summit ascent early in the morning, hiking under the moonlight to Stella Point (5,685 meters) on the lip of the crater. The highest point in Africa, Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), can be reached by continuing around the crater rim. Before returning to Barafu Camp for a quick rest, celebrate your accomplishment. To spend your last night on the mountain, descend even further to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters).

Reach Mweka Gate (1,650 meters) after descending through the verdant rainforest, where you will sign out and get your summit credentials. Say goodbye to your hiking group before returning to Arusha, where a car will pick us up in Mweka Village and take us to your accommodation. Treat yourself to a delicious meal and a good night's sleep to commemorate your Kilimanjaro journey. (Remember to tip).
